Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Spicy Ketchup

Ingredients
¼ cup tomato paste
- 2 T date paste
- 2 T water
- 1 T apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard
- ½ tsp liquid smoke
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp each of garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, ground cloves, and black pepper
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Chef's Notes
I highly recommend refrigerating the ketchup overnight to give the ingredients time to meld together.
