Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Savory Sauce

This sauce is big on flavor but very easy to make. It can be prepared ahead of time and frozen so you can always have it on the ready.

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic

  • 1 medium onion, cut into large cubes
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into large cubes
  • 1 cup fresh green herbs leaves (basil, oregano, dill, rosemary, cilantro, parsley) to your taste
  • 1 hot pepper with stem removed (optional)

Instructions

1. Add all the ingredients into a large blender jar of a high speed blender and blend for just a few seconds until still lightly chunky.
2. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray.
3. Put in freezer and keep for use when preparing beans, grain, or sautes.

Chef's Notes

Use one frozen cube for a sauté, two for grains, three for beans, or to your taste.
