Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Maple-Glazed Tempeh

Ingredients

  • 8-oz tempeh, sliced

  • 2 T pure maple syrup
  • 2-3 T low-sodium tamari
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 T apple cider vinegar

Instructions

1. Take tempeh out of package. Cut in into 1 inch cubes, or as desired.
2. Steam tempeh for 10 minutes. Cool slightly, then drain.
3.. Whisk maple syrup, tamari, vinegar, and spices in a bowl.
4. Marinate tempeh for 20 minutes or overnight for best results.
5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
