Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Lemon Tahini Dressing

Tahini is made from ground sesame seeds and are loaded with nutrition. This dressing is very flavorful and is great on a salad, roasted vegetables or over a grain bowl.

Ingredients

  • 5 T tahini

  • 3 T lemon juice
  • 1 T date syrup
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a blender (or can do by hand) and mix until smooth. Add more liquids (water and lemon) as required to get desired taste and consistency.

Chef's Notes

This recipe used raw tahini which is super thick. I am sure recipe will work with any tahini but you may need to add more or less lemon juice, water and date syrup depending upon how thick your tahini is and to your taste. When you get to the bottom of the jar, the tahini is thicker so requires more fluid to dilute it. Never stress about this, you can always add a bit more of each ingredient to adjust to the thickness of your dressing and your taste buds!
