Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Cashew Crema

Ingredients

  • ½ cup raw cashews

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lime

Instructions

1. Place cashews in a bowl and cover with 1-2” of water. Leave to soak overnight. If you are in a hurry, let cashews soak in boiled water for 1-2 hours. Drain soaking water.
2. Put soaked cashews, 1 cup of water, and juice of 1 lime into a blender. Blend until completely smooth. Add extra water to thin the sauce if desired.
