Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Avocado Smear

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • 5 basil leaves
  • 1 green onion or scallion
  • Juice of 1 lemon or lime

Instructions

1. Finely chop the basil and scallion. Add more of your favorite herbs if you’d like.
2. Combine herbs with avocado into a bowl.
3. Smash the avocado with a fork, and mix the ingredients together. Avoid over-mixing as to preserve some chunks for texture.

Chef's Notes

Add-on options include cooked chickpeas, red cabbage, broccoli slaw. Coat the veggies and mix evenly.
