Whole Food, Plant-Based Recipe Almond Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour

  • ½ tsp of baking soda
  • 1 T of baking powder
  • ½ tsp of cinnamon powder
  • ¼ cup of applesauce
  • ½ cup of almond milk
  • 3 T of peanut butter
  • 1 T of vanilla extract
  • 1½ ripe bananas
  • ½ cup of sliced almonds

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven at 350°F.
2. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
3. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
4. Mix dry and wet ingredients together.
5. Mash the bananas bit by bit and add them to the mixture.
6. Add sliced almonds and mix.
7. Pour mixture in muffin molds.
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
9. Remove muffins from the molds and let cool for 20 minutes, or eat warm.
